PURCHASING WINE        
                
We want your port wine experience to be an enjoyable one.  While port wine drinkers tend not to be underage, we must remind all customers that you need be 21 years of age or older to purchase our wine.  By purchasing wine from us, you represent to us that you are indeed 21 years of age or older, and that the delivery will be received by someone who is also of age.
               
SHIPPING           
               
Please allow up to 3 business days for us to ship your order.  If the order is placed on Thursday through the weekend, it may not be shipped until the following Tuesday.

Wine is a very popular commodity.  Sometimes, our wines move quickly in stock.  Our distributors can also run out in a moments notice.

We will not ship your order until we can guarantee that you are receiving exactly what you ordered. 

If we cannot fulfill your order in a timely manner, we will contact you as soon as possible.
               
Since our business resides in California, all sales take place in our State.  Title passes to the consumer when the product is handed to our preferred carrier (Fed Ex).
               
Adult signature (over 21 yrs of age) is required upon delivery!!!
               
Acceptable forms of photo ID's are:   
1. Driver's License       
2. Passport           
3. Military ID           
4. Alien Registration Card     
               
Please note:  Fed Ex will NOT deliver to any intoxicated individual.
               
BUSINESS ADDRESS vs. HOME DELIVERY
               
To assure proper adult signature delivery and prevent absentee home delivery, we recommend you ship to a business address.   In the event of several attempts by Fed Ex to deliver the wine to a residence, however, and no one is there to sign, the order will return to us and you will incur the cost of shipping.

Keep in mind, Fed Ex will NOT ship to a PO Box.
               
WINE MINIMUMS

Due to the nature of our online business, we reserve the right to set a minimum order on certain select products. 

If you plan to purchase port wines by the case,  please be aware that case sizes can be 3, 6, or 12 in number.
               
RETURNS,  BREAKABLES, & CANCELS
               
Your order should arrive in a safe, secure container.  However, some shipments may see some neglect and breakage.  If your bottle of wine is damaged or broken, and your delivery driver can attest to such (seepage), please contact us within 14 days and we’ll send a replacement.

If the customer wishes to cancel the order after it was shipped, the customer will incur the following charges:
-Shipping costs to the customer
-Shipping costs back to Portwine2u.com
-20% restocking fee.
   
REFUNDS 

We understand that wine is an acquired taste.  Port wine drinkers tend to be more sophisticated than the average wine connoisseur and most know what they are ordering.  If our product arrives in a manner that is not satisfying to the consumer's palate,  we will issue a 25% refund if the consumer notifies us within 14 days.   After 14 days, no refund will be given.

If the order arrives with obvious spoilage, discoloration, or any other ruin, we may ask you to return the unopened product for a full refund.

Shipping is not refundable.  All returns are at the purchaser's expense.
               
PRIVACY      
We will never rent, sell, trade, nor share any of your personal information with any outside individual or company.  Any and all information we retain or ask for will be used to help this site become a more efficient and enjoyable experience.
               
LEGAL DISCLAIMER
    
In the event that the situation warrants, we reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law when and if we believe that  disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our site.
               
INSURANCE    
All shipments are insured by Fed Ex at no extra cost to the customer.  Should a shipment become damaged while en route with Fed Ex, the customer will not be held liable.

Shipping Policy

WE CAN SHIP TO THE FOLLOWING STATES:  Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

 

 

Please ship your port to a business or a residence (or even trusted neighbor) where someone over 21 yrs can sign!!  Fed Ex will not leave your package at the door if no one is there to sign.    

Please allow up to 4 business days to ship your wine.  If you place your order on Thursday, the wine may not be shipped until the following Tuesday.

Prohibited states are as follows: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana
Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana,
New Jersey, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
We cannot ship to these states (or Canada) as we are prohibited by law.  However, if you reside in these States and wish to "Ship to" an eligible State, that is permitted.
